1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Get Things (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time, and your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. Description of Service

Get Things is a wishlist and gift registry platform that allows users to create collections of desired items, share them via unique links, and enable others to claim or contribute toward those items. The Service is provided free of charge.

3. User Accounts

To create and manage wishlists, you must register an account by providing your email address, a password, and your full name. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to update it as needed. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that appear to be fraudulent.

4. Guest Access

Guests may view shared wishlists and claim or pledge toward items without creating a full account. When claiming an item, guests must provide their name and may optionally provide an email address. By submitting a claim, guests agree to these terms. An anonymous session is created automatically to associate claims with the guest.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service, including wishlist names, item descriptions, images, and links. By posting content, you grant Get Things a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.

You are solely responsible for the content you submit. You must not post content that infringes intellectual property rights, is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.

6. Sharing and Visibility

Wishlists are accessible to anyone who has the shareable link. Item details, including names, descriptions, prices, and images, are visible to anyone viewing the link. Claim information (names of people who claimed items) may also be visible to other visitors. You are responsible for sharing your wishlist links only with people you trust.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Transmit spam, malware, or other harmful content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Service without permission
  • Use the Service for any fraudulent or deceptive purpose

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, logos, and branding, is owned by Get Things and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without prior written consent.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We are not responsible for the accuracy or completeness of any user-submitted content, including item prices, descriptions, or external product links.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Get Things and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or profits, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, regardless of the theory of liability. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may delete your account at any time, which will permanently remove your profile, wishlists, items, and associated claims.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
